Labels:text | screenshot | font | violet | lilac OCR: In an illustrious career spanning more than sixty years, Friz Freleng has become one of the best- known and most productive animators in the history of film. Freleng began his career in 1927, working for Walt Disney. In 1930, Freleng became Head Animator of Warner Brothers' Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons. Freleng remained at Warner Bros. for 33 years (except for a two-year stint at MGM where he organized a new animation department). He created the characters Porky Pig, Yosemite Sam, Sylvester the Cat and Tweedy Bird. While at Warner Bros ., Freleng won five Oscars for best animated short and received Oscar nominations for ten of his cartoons.
